Invasive Species Detection Dogs: Pets Trained To Save New England From The Spotted Lantern Fly

Dog trainer and author Melissa McCue-McGrath, joined by her dog Captain, will share how she trained pet dogs, like yours, to sniff out the Spotted Lantern Fly, an invasive species that is a threat to 70+ New England crops, plants and trees. Melissa hopes that dogs can be deployed to inspect vehicles at rest stops and ports here in New England, like they are in the midwest, catching infestations of invasive species before they gain a foothold.
