FindIt Community Member Resources

FindIt! Winchester is a resource built for you, the people and organizations that make the Town of Winchester run smoothly and humanely, by Town Common Task Force. In order to take full advantage of this resource, we encourage your organization to engage with Town Common Task Force as an Affiliate member. This Affiliation gives you access to a protected online space where you can share your passion, experience, ideas and resources directly with your fellow organizations and volunteers.

TOWN COMMON MEMBER EXCHANGE

In addition to the excellent Library of Things maintained by the Winchester Public Library, our member organizations own many useful items that they will occasionally lend to each other. In order to facilitate and support the sharing that is already taking place, FindIt! Winchester member organizations have generously listed some of the items that they might be willing to lend to each other.

CONNECT WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS

The Town Common Task Force, FindIt! Winchester’s parent organization, maintains a robust list, updated at least annually, of primary contacts for all of the organizations in town. We use this list to reach out for our annual Community Connects Day, (held jointly with Community Hub, each September at the Farmers’ Market), as well as the newly launched April Volunteer Week activities, and our Civic Gathering events (list of our past Civic Gatherings).

If you are the administrator for a FindIt! Winchester member organization, and need a download of our list, please send a request to [WHICH EMAIL?] with your name, email, phone number (optional), and organization name.

Organization contacts will receive the following communications:

  • Weekly FindIt! Winchester newsletter (opt-out option)
  • Invitations to participate in annual Volunteer Fair (April) and Community Connect Day (September)
  • Invitations to participate in Civic Gathering events 
  • Inclusion in Contact List shared with other member organizations in Winchester

FINDIT! WINCHESTER RESOURCES

Member organizations are encouraged to update their FindIt! Winchester landing page, post their events to the community calendar, and list their volunteer opportunities. You just need a login for the FindIt! Winchester site. The link to log in can be found at the bottom of the FindIt! homepage, and at the bottom of this Members page.
