The Griffin is excited to partner with Leica Gallery Boston in 2026/2027 for a series of lectures and artist talks featuring the works of exhibiting artists and collaborators with the Griffin Museum.
We are so pleased to have photographer and educator Jennifer McClure on Wednesday September 23rd at 6PM at the Leica Gallery Boston for a special evening event in September.

Jennifer McClure has spent two decades turning the camera on herself and the people closest to her. Her work is about longing, solitude, and an ambivalent yearning for connection. She often uses herself and her experiences as subject matter to explore the creation of personal mythology and the agency of identity. A two-time recipient of the Griffin Museum's Arthur Griffin Legacy Award, McClure currently teaches in our Photography Atelier program, guiding the next generation of image-makers through the same instinct-driven process that has shaped her own celebrated body of work. Her ties to Leica run deep as well -- she has taught workshops for Leica Camera and been featured in the brand's storytelling series on portraiture and craft.
Jennifer's photographs are included in the current exhibition as part of Leica Boston's 10th Anniversary Celebration. This evening brings those threads together, presented in partnership with Leica Gallery Boston as part of our ongoing lecture series.
