Acera School

Acera School is an independent K–9 nonprofit school in Winchester, Massachusetts, serving approximately 120 students and their families from more than 25 communities throughout Massachusetts. Founded in 2010, Acera provides an inquiry-driven, project-based education that nurtures creativity, intellectual curiosity, and a love of learning. Students engage in advanced academics, ability-based math, engineering and maker projects, visual and performing arts, outdoor education, and passion-driven projects.

Ambrose Parent Teacher Organization

Ambrose is proud to have a very active and inclusive Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) dedicated to the enrichment of our students’ educational experience. Through generous Direct Appeal donations, we are able to support a number of programs and field trips throughout the school year. Founded in 2016, CAN-Win aims to preserve and promote Chinese culture and heritage, enhance neighborhood integration, strengthen engagement in community affairs, and advocate common interests in important social, cultural, and political issues. CAN-Win is led by its Executive Board.

Council of Social Concern

Council of Social Concern was founded in 1969 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to promote a sense of “neighborliness” in the community and address the absence of quality, affordable childcare and housing issues. Today, the Council of Social Concern assists approximately 1,900 individuals per year, with the support of approximately 100 volunteers. We provide a range of services to address community needs.
