Please join us on the Town Common where we will swing, celebrate and give thanks for all of God's creatures, blessing our animal companions. We welcome all pets--furry, scaly, hairy, feathery and even plush! Photos of beloved pet companions are welcome in place of those who can't be there. And a special seating section will be set aside for those who are more comfortable sitting away from the animals. To serenade both congregation and pets, FCCW's own house band will offer jazz music before, during and after the service. We will sing and move and praise all of creation with fun and upbeat

Live in person and live-streamed, Winchester Unitarian Society's acclaimed Jazz in the Sanctuary presents Mid-Century Classics from the Record Cabinet, Friday, January 30th, at 8:00 PM.

From tunes that once drifted out of radios and record players to standards that have filled clubs for decades, the program invites you to settle in and enjoy a fabulous night of jazz that feels both timeless and welcoming.

Selections include such jazz classics as Horace Silver's bossa nova-based Song for My Father, Thelonious Monk's adventurous Monk's Dream and Hackensack 1965, Dave Brubeck's lively

Winchester officials will dedicate a memorial to former Select Board member and Town Moderator John Sullivan in an area behind Town Hall, close to the Mt. Vernon Street bridge. The memorial includes a bench and plaque.

Sullivan served three terms on the Select Board in the 1970s-1980s before being named Citizen of the Year in 1985. He served as town moderator or an unprecedented 37 years before retiring in the spring of 2014. All are welcome to attend the ceremony.

Pop in at your convenience or stay for the entire morning. Siblings are welcome too!

We have a great family night community event for you, to help get you into the Halloween spirit. Our annual Halloween Movie Night Community Event will take place on Friday, October 3rd. The giant inflatable screen will grace the front lawn as we watch Monsters, Inc, rated G. To make it easy on a Friday night, there is an option to pre-order a whole cheese pizza (8 tasty slices)!

Seating is first come, first served. There will be no designated areas. You can bring a blanket/chairs to sit on.

The cost is only $10/person.

Children (and adults) are invited to wear costumes!

The Town of Winchester was declared an “Age-Friendly Community” by AARP in 2018. The goal of Age-friendly Winchester is to actively work towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for its aging population. The Winchester Council on Aging, operating through the Jenks Center, played a pivotal role in guiding the town's efforts to achieve the "Age-Friendly Designation" from AARP and the World Health Organization. In February 2025 a committee was formed to further implementation of objectives that included the development of a survey and review of survey results. The committee
