The Griffin Museum is pleased to host and artist talk and reception for Matilde Simas's exhibition From Shadows to Light: A Global Journey Through the Aftermath of Trafficking, on view July 1 - September 27, 2026.

Please join us in-person on Saturday July 18th in downtown Boston at the Griffin @ Lafayette City Center to hear from the artist, followed by a reception to celebrate the exhibition.

In Remember Me, Preston Gannaway photographs a New Hampshire boy, EJ, for over 20 years, following the death of his mother at the age of 4. The interplay of everyday details, landscapes and portraits work together to create an intimate longitudinal essay on time, loss and mortality.

Audacious Action Africa: How a daring Maasai leader and an American physics professor organize to improve life in rural Africa

Meet Kisioki Moitiko, Project Manager, and Dr. Bob Lange, Founder of the International Collaborative for Science, Education, and the Environment (ICSEE). Live in-person from the stunning Ripley Chapel at First Congregational Church, Winchester.

Celebrate pride through beautiful, empowering, first-hand accounts of trans, nonbinary, and gender-fluid experiences. From Massachusetts-based Family Diversity Projects, this exhibit uses stunning photography and rich stories to challenge damaging myths and stereotypes about trans and nonbinary people, educate people about these communities, and help make the world a safer, more connected, and more empathetic place.

Nouvelle Maison, Winchester's destination for great coffee, fine provisions, wine and community events, is excited to announce its first-ever Back to School à la Nouvelle Tasting Extravaganza on Thursday, September 4th, from 3-6pm.

Please join us for our annual Blessing of the Animals, outdoors, under the tent in front of our church at 34 Dix Street, Winchester, MA, on Sunday, October 5, at 10am. We will have animal-themed music and have individual blessings for every pet who comes. We will give thanks for our animal companions, honor animals that serve in public safety and wellness, and celebrate those who have taken on the difficult work of animal rescue, shelter, and care. All are welcome (people and animals), so please join us and bring your critters, big or small. If you can control it, you can bring it.

We are looking to start one or two new Daisy troops explicitly for K & 1st graders who are interested but haven't yet had a chance to join Girl Scouts. The meetings will be run by our middle and high school Girl Scouts with familial adults helping chaperone. We'll have an interest meeting on Sunday, March 29 at 4 PM at the First Baptist Church (90 Mt Vernon St) -- please RSVP to winchestergirlscouts@gmail.com so we have enough materials. The League of Women Voters of Winchester will present a candidate forum featuring the candidates Michael S. Day and Stephen G. Ternullo. This event will be livestreamed on Thursday, October 15, at 7 pm on Stoneham TV. The recording will be available afterward on Stoneham TV.
