Learn about some of the amazing talents of these creepy animal friends and what you can do to help them help us! How do you hiss without using your mouth? Eat by using a built-in straw? From animals that look creepy like spiders and bats, to those that just sound creepy, many of these creatures are important predators that help us unseen under the cover of darkness.

Paint a pastel sunset with a star-filled sky oozing over top. Learn how to paint colorful clouds and a celestial sky using acrylic paints. Open to teens (rising 6th graders and up) and adults. Registration is required. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Winchester Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
A Fall Plant ID Nature walk at the farm and on Whipple Hill. We’ll focus on basic identification characteristics primarily looking at native species, including a plant Native Americans used to supposedly cure “craziness” as well as one they used to wash their hands, a few best identified using our noses, several that are edible and medicinal along with a few non-natives. And we’ll discuss specifics on native vs. non-native. Cost: $25/$20/$15 (tiered).
