Read to a Dog!

Elementary School kids sign up online through the children's calendar or in the Children's Room to read to our four-legged pals! They are certified Therapy Partners are are excited to read with you! Registration required. Only one child may read to a dog at a time.

Retro Game Night with One Up Games

Retro Game Night brings a walkable/playable museum to your library!Players will be able to learn about how Nintendo started and see how the iconic console evolved to where it is today. All Nintendo systems from NES to Switch are available to play throughout the exhibit on old-school CRT TVs.

Rockabye Beats Band!

Sew a Rainbow

Come sew a rainbow! This is designed for kids who have never sewn, so we will be using plastic needles and prepunched cardboard. For ages 4 (PreK) to entering 2nd Grade, younger children may need help from caregiver. Registration is required. Questions? Email winchild@minlib.

Sew Your Own Heart Magnet

A beginning sewing activity with a real needle and thread. Kids in grades 1-4 will be able to practice sewing or try it for the first time . We'll turn felt into a heart magnet for your fridge or to give a friend. Registration required. Questions? Call 781.

Sew Your Own Pet

What kind of pet will you choose? Cat? Rabbit? Dragon?! Kids in grades K-3 join us for a simple sewing project to learn to sew and design your unique pet or creature. There will be a choice of plastic needles or real needles depending on the child's comfort level.
