Live in person and live-streamed, Winchester Unitarian Society's acclaimed Jazz in the Sanctuary presents Mid-Century Classics from the Record Cabinet, Friday, January 30th, at 8:00 PM.

From tunes that once drifted out of radios and record players to standards that have filled clubs for decades, the program invites you to settle in and enjoy a fabulous night of jazz that feels both timeless and welcoming.

Selections include such jazz classics as Horace Silver's bossa nova-based Song for My Father, Thelonious Monk's adventurous Monk's Dream and Hackensack 1965, Dave Brubeck's lively

The central mission of Repair Café is to share and spread knowledge of making repairs and/or mending to everyone. We aim to teach our clients to mend and/or do the repair on their own.
Given the increased interest in Repair Café, each expert is limited to helping the client within the allotted 1/2 hour appointment time. Repairs and/or mending that require more time will need to be finished by the client.

This workshop is for students in grades 6-9 trying out for the MMEA Junior District Festival. The workshop will provide a wealth of information about the audition process including how to prepare, manage nerves, and develop presentation skills. Students will divide into vocal and instrument groups to perform for adjudicators and receive constructive feedback on their solos and scales.

The Griffin Museum recognizes the importance of photobooks. Distinct from the gallery aesthetic, photobooks offer their own visual language, often conducive to more narrative qualities and seriality than the standard on-the-wall format. Junk journaling is a method of journal-keeping that primarily uses found and recycled materials to record and collect thoughts, memories, and inspiration! This program will give you an overview of common techniques and provide inspiration before you get to work on your own journals.
