The Griffin is off to London for a week in May for the Photo London photography fair, along with some special trips planned to collections and foundations and exploring the UK photography community.

Photographic Journey Through Acadia

Take a journey to Acadia, the easternmost National Park in the US.  Ranging from the shores of the Atlantic to inland forests and lakes and culminating in the highest elevation of the eastern seaboard, its geological and cultural history presents a fascinating story. This diverse landscape has inspired artists for centuries.  Local photographer and art/history enthusiast Bruce Magnuson will present a photographic journey through this landscape that ranges from the tranquil to the magnificent!

Photography Atelier | 2025-2026

We are pleased to announce the opening of registration for our special 40th Anniversary Atelier session and are excited to share more details with you.

The in-person class will be taught by Emily Belz and will take place on Thursday evenings from 4:30-7:30 PM at the Griffin Museum of Photography, located at 67 Shore Road, Winchester, MA 01890. The program will begin on September 18 and run through the end of May.

The online class will be taught by Jennifer McClure and held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM (ET) via Zoom. It will begin on September 16 and run through the end of May

The Griffin Museum is proud to continue its tradition of fostering creative growth with Photography Atelier II, an advanced, project-driven course led by photographer and educator Traer Scott. This online class is designed for students who have completed Photography Atelier I and are ready to take their photographic practice to the next level.

Piano Department Field Trip to M. Steinert & Sons

Discover the innovative world of the Steinway Spirio!
Join Patrick Elisha-Sanmiguel for an engaging presentation on piano mechanics and technology, highlighting the advanced features of the new Spirio player piano. Following an overview of the Spirio's mechanics, participants will have the option to try it out for themselves.
Please note that this workshop takes place off-site at the Newton showroom of M. Steinert & Sons.

Join us for a special concert featuring selected students from the WCMS Piano Department, as we recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of some of our most dedicated piano students!
