Help Ensure a Cleaner Middlesex Fells Reservation on April 18

The Middlesex Fells Reservation is an amazing recreational resource for everyone in the region. You can help show your appreciation for the Fells by joining the Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation for "PoopBlitz." Come help remove bagged dog waste and collect data on the locations of dog waste. Your efforts won't just make the Fells cleaner and more beautiful that day, they will contribute valuable data that the Friends of the Fells will use to help solve the problem of dog waste in the future. Looking for where to donate clothes, fabric, linens, or books? Have shredding you want done? The Winchester Girl Scout travel group is raising money for our trips to Europe in 2027 & 2028 by offering some spring cleaning help on Saturday May 9 from 9 am to noon.

Shredding is donation per container (you decide the amount!) and we have a professional company coming with a truck that includes a camera, for those of you that professionally need to verify the documents are now confetti. We’ll be able to take cash, Venmo, and credit card.

For clothes, linens, fabric, etc we just ask that they

March 20 is the vernal equinox, marking the beginning of spring. In New England, the weather begins to moderate, the first flowers push through the soil, and daylight stretches a little longer each day. Celebrate this time of rebirth and renewal with a walk through a local conservation area in search of signs of spring. We’ll begin with a touch of poetry and equinox lore, then focus on plant identification and fascinating bits of natural history. Suitable for ages 10 and up.
