Join Environmental Archaeologist, Dr. Naomi Riddiford in the forested landscape around Wright-Locke Farm. Learn how to identify clues to past human activities associated with the farm (established in c.1638) and uncover a ghost agricultural landscape hidden among the trees. Suitable for ages 12 and up. Tickets: $20 to $30.

We’ll begin with some Full Moon poetry and a discussion of some Moon science and lore as we wait for the Moon to appear. Then we’ll go out into the sanctuary for a walk through the fields, around the farm pond and into the woods to enjoy the natural world as the sky darkens. We’ll return to the barnyard to share some Chinese Moon Cakes as we watch the Moon climb higher in the eastern sky while listening to some Chinese Full Moon poetry both in English and Chinese. Earth Day at McCue Garden Center
Come learn about how you can help alleviate food insecurity in your neighborhood while repotting and take home a tomato plant.
Be part of a network of gardeners who grow vegetables in your yard or help others grow in their yards. Then we'll collect and donate what we grow to the Council of Social Concern and the En Ka Food Pantry. If you can't garden you can still contribute by sharing some of your lawn to turn into a garden.
This presentation will explore methods of tracking shorebirds and how these data inform conservation efforts. It will highlight how Motus tracking expanded the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network in the Bay of Fundy, demonstrate the importance of conserving networks of small sites in Atlantic Canada, share satellite tag data revealing trans-Atlantic flight pathways, and discuss new research quantifying the value of small staging sites for shorebirds across the Northeast.

Our goal is to bring attention to the poverty in our midst, as well as other interrelated injustices. We hope to mobilize voters to participate in our democracy to bring about change toward justice for all and for the environment.
